Referral process for Mental Health Services
For assistance with managing your patients’ mental health needs, please follow our simple five-step admissions process outlined below.
1. Does your patient need to access mental health services (inpatient, outpatient or TMS services)?
2. Does your patient have either Private Health Insurance, DVA, Work Cover, TAC coverage or is self funded?
3. Contact the Hospital Admissions team on 03 9385 1111
4. Fax patients details for Health Fund Checking to 03 9012 7848
5. Our Admissions Team will discuss the referral with an Admitting Psychiatrist to confirm acceptance, and confirm patient's admission within 1 business day
